Live Easy was established seven years ago by Jeffrey Froom and James Huff, where the original “nano units” idea was created. The nano living concept is an average of 15sqm self-contained units, each with its own kitchenette and bathroom, with an average rental of R3 000 per month.

Live Easy focuses on the impact housing segment, with the aim of closing the gap between social housing and privately owned homes. We offer desirable areas where tenants can access main transportation nodes and business hubs.

Each building has great amenities. Exclusively for our tenants.

Live Easy is able to do this by acquiring land and/or existing and underperforming real estate and repurposing these assets to accommodate those in need of affordable homes.

There is a unique opportunity in South Africa within the affordable, inclusionary housing space – providing housing to those within the R 3 500 to R15 000 monthly income bracket who are in dire need of homes.

Live Easy identifies the housing opportunities, raises the necessary finance, projects and development, and manages, drives the marketing, branding and letting.

Jeffrey Froom

Jeffrey Froom, co-founder of Live Easy, is a is a dynamic leader and visionary entrepreneur in the residential affordable property industry. After completing his articles in Accounts, for the last 9 years Frooms focus has been on Live Easy, where he is integrally involved in all new acquisitions and has a specific focus on ensuring that operations post completion of development are efficiently run. Under Frooms leadership, the company has become a leader in providing high-quality, well run, safe, nano units at affordable rentals. With Frooms drive and expertise, Froom is passionate and committed to creating sustainable and vibrant communities.

James Huff

James has been educated at the University of Cape Town (B Com PPE & PG Dip Enterprise Management). James comes from a financial background having worked for various multinational financial services institutions in London.

James’ first taste of the property industry came through his work for a small property consultancy that had the sole mandate to a retail portfolio. Having built up a strong reputation for himself, James formed his own property consultancy. During this time he was a part-time student at the University of the Witwatersrand, furthering his property knowledge through graduate studies in Property Development and Management. This, coupled with his passion for the South African Property Market and the realisation of the dire need for affordable housing across the country, led him to pursue the Affordable Housing Investment industry. James handles the Development Management for the Group.
